I’m Michelle, and as a Canine Behaviour Therapist and Trainer, I bring a unique perspective: I’ve been exactly where a lot of you are. I grew up surrounded by all kinds of animals, had all kinds of pets, but then I met the dog that changed everything:
I was pregnant with my daughter, and my Heeler/Pittie mix was becoming increasingly aggressive with people and with other dogs. I turned to Bark Busters in desperation. The transformation I witnessed in my own dog was nothing short of life-changing. That experience proved to me that there’s hope for all dogs!
I became committed to helping dog owners understand their companions and reclaim their peace of mind. As a certified Canine Behaviour Therapist and Trainer, I specialize in helping families with their dogs. I have a special place in my heart for dogs who show aggression and are misunderstood.

What does training actually cover?
We cover the everyday basics that make life easier: coming when called, walking politely on lead, calm greetings at the door, settling with family and guests, and leaving things alone when asked. Do you train all breeds and ages?
Yes! We have trained puppies, senior dogs and every breed in between. Our methods address behaviour rather than breed, so no dog is too old or too stubborn to learn.
My dog is already an adult. Is it too late?
Not at all. Adult dogs often learn faster than puppies because they have longer attention spans. We regularly work with dogs of eight, ten and twelve years old who learn new habits quickly once the communication is clear.
What if my dog is aggressive? Is training safe?
Aggression is one of our specialties. Every Bark Busters trainer learns our Stand Rite No Bite system and must pass a test on approaching aggressive situations safely. Each trainer’s knowledge is assessed and updated every two years.

Dogs behave differently at home, where they are most comfortable and where problems actually occur. In-home training addresses the exact behaviours causing you stress, in the exact setting where they happen, with no other dogs competing for your dog’s attention.
