Dog Training in Brampton and North Etobicoke
Liza Fournier
Behaviour Therapist & Trainer
For the past 8 years, my current dog Monty and former dog Sasha have worked with me as a Volunteer Therapy Dog Team, bringing comfort, joy, and emotional support to members of our community. After a lengthy career as a trusted Realtor helping people achieve their dreams of home ownership, I stepped into the role that has been my entire life calling – to be a Canine Behaviour Therapist and Trainer.
My journey involved countless hours of research, hands-on learning, and a few humbling moments. I’ve always been
determined! Learning how to clearly communicate, provide structure/boundaries, and meet a dog’s needs became my mission – because true success comes from a partnership, not perfection.
When I found Bark Busters – everything clicked. The proven, personalized approach aligned
perfectly with my philosophy: teaching in their own environment, using clear, calm communications
that dogs instinctively understand, and empowering owners for lifelong success.
I’m here to help you build a phenomenal, lifelong relationship with your dog
– one based on trust, respect, and understanding.
When I’m not training you may meet Monty and I out visiting our community!
I can’t wait to get started with you and your dog!
What I love about my job
Let’s be honest – every dog owner faces challenges.
The difference comes when you work with a behaviour therapist/trainer who truly understands, has lived it, and is ready to guide you with confidence, compassion, and clarity. I love giving that same confidence to my clients!
Why I became a dog trainer
Dogs have always been at the heart of who I am. I’ve shared my life with 12 dogs, from rescues to purebreds, each bringing their own personalities, histories, drives and challenges. Along the way, I’ve experienced – joy, struggles, setbacks and breakthroughs. What never changed was my belief that every dog has the potential to be the very best version of themselves when we truly understand them
My areas of expertise include:
- Puppy training
- Separation anxiety in dogs
- Stopping excessive barking
- Dog aggression and aggression toward humans
- Leash training, including leash pulling
- Stopping dogs from jumping on people
- Food aggression in dogs and resource guarding
- Reactive dog training
- General obedience training
- And more…
