Dog Training in East Toronto including East York, Leaside, The Beaches
I became a Bark Busters trainer in 2006 and have worked with nearly 3000 dogs and their families. My professional background is in the psychiatric field and I also have a Master of Health Science in Health Care Administration and Management. While human behaviour is incredibly interesting, dog behaviour is equally fascinating to me.

What I love about my job
It is so rewarding to have the opportunity to change the relationships between people and their dogs. Life is a lot more fulfilling when you understand each other and in the most serious situations, it can help save a dog’s life.
Why I became a trainer
I owe becoming a Bark Busters trainer to my past German Shepherd, May. We got her as a rescue and she had some serious behavioural issues. Having a behavioural background, I had trained all my other dogs myself…except nothing worked with her. A neighbour suggested I call Bark Busters and truthfully, I was fairly skeptical. My first 3 hours with my then trainer Cindy, left me so hopeful. As she walked out my door, she said “I think you may be really good at this!” and 18 years later, here I am.
My areas of expertise include:
- Puppy training
- Separation anxiety in dogs
- Stopping excessive barking
- Dog aggression and aggression toward humans
- Leash training, including leash pulling
- Stopping dogs from jumping on people
- Food aggression in dogs and resource guarding
- Reactive dog training
- General obedience training
- And more...
