Charlie, Chachi and Hunter are lucky dogs—literally. Firstly, Brenda and Andy Ray came into their lives and secondly, Brenda and Andy are both Bark Busters professionals. Now the boys are not only lucky dogs, but also content ones.

“The first time I worked with Chachi and his little head just whipped around when he recognized I spoke his language,” says Brenda, “absolutely confirmed what I knew—Bark Busters is the truest and most effective way to modify behaviour. Charlie and Hunter’s progress was more of the same.”

As a child, Brenda loved animals and dogs in particular. Her first success as a teenager was with her standard poodle, Peppy, who cleaned up at local performance shows. Growing up, Andy’s large family always included a much-loved family dog. After the two met and married, Chester, a happy little terrier cross, was soon welcomed into their young family. Growing up with pets has instilled affection for four-footed critters in both their children who, now grown, love having dogs of their own.

It’s fitting that this dog-loving, family oriented couple are now working closely with both in an important way. “No one’s happy when a dog is misbehaving or disobedient—not the pet and certainly not that pet’s family,” Andy states. “Much like kids, dogs require knowledgeable guidance to feel secure. In the wild, dogs know their place in the pack and feel safely protected there.”

The couple, with degrees in Computer Science and Fluid Power Technology, chose work in related fields while raising their family and providing a loving home for the wonderful pets that have been part of their lives. “But now we’ve found a way to work with dogs every day in a purely positive way and at the same time, help families have happier, more fulfilling relationships with their dogs. It’s a win-win!”
