Review:
Re the training. It was important for me to know the theory behind the changes we were going to make. It was important for me that the training did not involve shocking, spraying, muzzling or tools such as prong collars. It was important that the training was modeled to me and that I had a chance to demonstrate this back for fine tuning and correction. Seeing immediate changes in my dog, as he worked with Bill, gave me hope that I could really help my dog. Finally, the follow up is a critical component. Demonstrating our accomplishments was gratifying. Having Bill identify things to improve on and next steps gave me the direction I needed to move forward.
Re the trainer, Bill Lawson. Bill has a very pleasant and calm disposition. He was very easy to work
with and we actually had a lot of fun! He is very patient, answering my endless questions. He is very
knowledgeable, often pointing out behaviours my dog was doing that I didn't notice nor understood. He very
quickly identified that my fear would be something we would need to work on and surmount. He challenged
me to take on those fears and worked right along side me to help me through. He is fabulous!
My overall comment would be that if you are serious about helping your dog and you are serious about being
a better leader and owner, then the Barkbusters method is what you need to seek out. I've tried others
and know the difference.
