Review:
We called Lisa Marshall in when our husky Annabelle was becoming more difficult to manage. My partner and I decided to move in together, which involved introducing Sherrell's cat Phin with my dog Annabelle, the small animal killer. Before Lisa, Annabelle had successfully killed 13 small to medium rodents including 1 chipmunk, 10 baby bunnies and 2 skunks. Obviously we were concerned with losing Phin's life and obviously I was concerned with losing my relationship. Annabelle had come from the pound and came with a bunch of baggage. She had extreme toy aggression, separation anxiety, pulled on walks, barking at the door, rushing ahead of us through doorways and stairs and eats everything in sight. I thought it was cute that she followed me around the house and cried when I left. Turns out she thought she was running the show. Not so cute anymore. While the Bark Busters approach can feel silly at times, growling at your dog takes work, Annabelle responded to it from the moment Lisa arrived. We felt confident with the tools we were given. With A TON of practice Annabelle was showing all the signs of a submissive and happy dog. We were shocked to see how tired she was at the end of each training session. She was following us down the stairs and through doorways, we have dangled her tennis ball in front of her and she barely even noticed, she rarely barks at the door, but when she does a very small correction is needed. Then came time for Phin to come home. We called Lisa and she was able to meet with us on very short notice on the Friday of the Thanksgiving long weekend. When Sherrell and I tried introducing Phin and Annabelle before bark busters, Annabelle was distraught to say the least. She would bark and almost scream at the cat, as if desperate and hungry at the same time. Then we tried it with Lisa present, and armed with our perfected growl and our homemade water bombs. Annabelle wouldn't even look at Phin. She sat in her crate, licking her lips, ears back, calm and submissive. It is safe to say that the changes we see in Annabelle are beyond what we expected. We can now watch TV on the couch with Phin on our lap and Annabelle lying quietly on the floor beside the couch. Lisa has been there for us since the beginning. She is available by phone, email and even BBM. She made us feel at ease and in control in our own home. We are extremely happy with Bark Busters and even moreso with Lisa as a trainer. Thank you very much!
