Review:
Paul and I are very happy with Bark Busters and see quite a difference in Prince. We learned QUITE a lot. I was more stuck in giving the dog human qualities, as opposed to my husband, Paul, who readily understood the alpha role. I was more stressed about hurting Prince's 'feelings' - so it took me a little longer to wrap my head around the pecking order concept. I've learned about pack rules, and how these rules help make Prince a less anxious dog. I've learned so much about leadership, and how to clearly communicate with Prince. I've also learned how important consistency is (yes, he has started testing how serious we are). :-) We see quite a few changes. He responds readily to the BAH, and is very 'happy' (ie. tail wagging) when we invite him with us. He still seems 'sad' when we leave, but we are consistent with putting him in his crate when we leave, and we are ignoring him when we return. He is slowly beginning to go into his crate with little complaint, and he is less hyper when we return. The biggest change is when we take Prince for a walk. - a 'J' forms in the lead, and he consistently walks a little behind...We are thrilled with the results and thank you so much for taking the time and answering our questions. Introducing him to things like bones and foraging cubes has made a difference in his life as well. He is completely oblivious to us when he has a bone. And yes, it is simpler communicating in dog language.
