Review:
Jason was great. Shelby only had a few behaviour issues that we needed to work on but since one of them was growling/snapping we needed to correct it. We were able to replicate the behaviour while Jason was here so he showed us the appropriate corrective techniques. He was patient and didn't try to rush through the lessons. We replicated the behaviour continuously while Jason was here so he could verify that we were correctly applying the techniques. Since Shelby is a rescued dog, we don't know about his previous traumatic experiences; correcting him properly was important.
Prior to Jason's arrival Shelby was also afraid on a leash and would cower. During the visit Jason gradually introduced leashing so that Shelby could become comfortable with it and within a short period of time Shelby was walking outside with the leash on as though it was his everyday routine. We continue to work with him using the techniques we learned. He is soooo much better and continues to improve. Having been with us for 6 weeks now he has come to realize that this is a safe place for him. He loves to cuddle and give us kisses and is a much happier dog.
