Just wanted to let you know that we went to Cherry Beach Dog Park today for the first time since starting Bark Busters…and what a joy it was to go with such well-trained dogs! No chaos coming out of the truck - 5 minutes on lead work before releasing them and then successful recalls. Celie "won" ONCE when she jumped up at some one, but it was not ON her, just up AT her from a foot away, which is a HUGE improvement, as she used to tackle you like a football player! With Bella, she looked to me when new dogs came around our "pack" and, if she looked like she was going to boss them, I BAH'd her and she would let me tell them to get away or say hello - it was really quite amazing!
And, the best thing was, I walked all 3 of them on lead back through the last 5 minutes of the dog park (dogs and people everywhere)- and we walked quietly and contentedly as a pack - everyone in their place. YAY! It was so nice!
Thanks again for the training and follow-up - I can't say enough good things about you and BB!
To Others:
Monica provided clear instruction (with some fun interactions) on how to improve our relationship with our 3 dogs. Results were obvious and, almost, instantaneous! We realized that our dogs had US very well-trained. Now we tell them what they need to do for us, they understand (thanks to BAH) and they enjoy doing it. Today, for the first time EVER, I walked all 3 dogs at once on lead - a couple of quick corrections with BAH and we were strolling along like pros (through a dog park no less)- thank you Bark Busters - I never thought it was possible and, as we continue to do the work, the results are just getting better! I have already recommended BB to others - it takes patience and diligence and consistency, but it really works!
