Bark Busters has been a life saver for my dog. I was considering having him put down because we were unable to get good behaviour out of him. We are three weeks into our training and although we still have some work to do, my neighbours and family are noticing how nice it is to have Harley around. My Goldendoodle- Sunshine is a beautiful puppy with a gentle temparament- wanting to please- I am a conscientious owner who really wanted a "well behaved" puppy so I read all the most highly recommended books- Bought Training DVDs and took her to "puppy obedience" classes. Sunshine was quite good but still had a few "issues" within the home and I could not get her to walk on a "loose leash" no matter what- Finally I decided to call Barkbusters.
... The results have been nothing short of "amazing". On the very first visit Sunshine was walking on a loose leash. Sue (my Bark Busters Trainer /Behaviourist) set me up with a "training programme" and gave me "expert advise" that has helped me mould my "gentle wanting to please" puppy into a "happy confident well mannered dog". And I am now a "very proud owner". The differences between Sue's training and "the others" are subtle but certain. My puppy is 7 months old. I read lots of books, attended a Puppy Obedience course and worked with my dog every day yet was not successful in dealing with basics such as walking on loose leash- responding consistently to "come"- etc. After one 4 hour session with Sue MacInnes my dog is walking happily on loose leash and there is marked improvement in many other areas. Hi Sue! Rocky is doing great. He is responding really well to the bah and his recall is improving too. We have progressed from a distracting toy car to a mirror--the next best thing to a real dog--and Rocky's doing well. The computer bark is great too. Outside, his progress is really showing when we see other dogs. I laugh now when I hear someone reprimanding their dog to "listen", because I now realize how silly we are to think they'll understand us. Hello Sue - I just wanted to say thank you! It was amazing to see the results so quickly, and no physical force and in such little time. Since you left my dogs have both slept all day near me. With me just saying Bahh most of the time they listen. When I left the dogs loose in the living room to get the mail I just said bahh when they went to come down the stairs and they went and laid down... I took Bella into the backyard and practiced having her follow me and corrected her when needed, then went out front for a little walk. We went about 5 driveways down and she actually walked behind me with a loose lead and I only corrected her once... I still take both dogs out to the back yard on leash.
