Hi there, We have a 1 year old lab/husky mix whom we are having trouble controlling. He is generally good on walks in our neighborhood, EXCEPT for when other dogs walk by. He jumps on people and us when we come in the house or just when he's excited. He listens when he wants to. He is very friendly and likes other dogs, but not when he is not allowed to greet them on a leash. He has bitten us and family and friends of ours and has separation anxiety. Needless to say, we need help! We would be interested in booking a weekend in the near future if you could contact me, I would like to ask some questions.

A few days ago we received a call with some bad news, since the new addition to the pack Zeus was testing them more and more. They considering re-homing him. We asked them if we can stop in and talk to them before just to see what was happening. Adding a new member to the pack is a big change.
Outcome Descriptions:
We started working with Zeus and mainly concentrating on gaining control inside the house. Once this was established we started going out walks. He needed several lessons to be able to just simply walk by other dogs.
Tania & Kent worked very hard with him and saw the results. They were both dedicated to make sure that he listens to them and that they become the leaders of the pack.

Our 2.5 year old lab/husky mix, Zeus, was a handful from day 1. He challenged us in almost every situation possible: leash walking, guests coming to the door, coming when called, etc. We weren't sure what do to about his behaviour when we found Bark Busters on the internet. We weren't sure what to expect as the guarantee states that they remain the dogs trainer for the lifetime of the dog! The past year with Zeus has been a struggle and I'm not so sure that we would still have him today without Alana and Marco. In the beginning, Alana and Marco taught us simple exercises we could do with Zeus to enforce our leadership over him. He responded to these exercises immediately and we continue to do them daily.
After a couple of months of implementing the strategies Alana & Marco gave us, Zeus was walking like and angel - always beside us or behind us with little to no corrections - we were amazed. He started to calm down when people came to the door and was listening much better both at home and the dog park. This all went downhill when we decided to add a new member to our pack, a chocolate lab puppy.
Although the dogs get along great, Zeus started to act out in some ways worse than before. He had bitten a neighbour of ours and began to revert to his hyperactive, disobedient tendencies. We were almost ready to give up but called Alana and Marco for what we thought might have been the last time.
When Marco came over again, he reassured us that Zeus was not a lost cause and that we needed to work harder now with him than ever because of the new addition to the pack. He taught us how to read Zeus' body language properly and how to keep him calm and show him we were in charge. We felt extremely enlightened after he left and now feel more confident than ever that we can change his behaviours by being consistent leaders. We have been with Bark Busters for just over a year and without them and what they have taught us, Zeus would be unmanageable.
We have already had over 10 visits from Alana and Marco and they are always happy to come over if a new issue arises or if an old one pops up again. I am very relieved to know that I can count on Alana and Marco to help us with Zeus at anytime. They are extremely knowledgeable and genuine people, I would recommend them a million times over.
