overall lack of obedience.
Outcome Descriptions:
AMAZING!
I have never seen a change take place so quickly! With lots of translation help from Mrs. Imani's daughter Farnaz, we were able to teach Mrs. Imani about how and why Meshki needed some leadership from her.
We worked on all of the issues that I noticed were occuring or that the family told me about and developped a custom workplan based around Meshki's temperament.
After leaving Mrs. Imani with her homework, and suggestions I returned for our third visit and was completely shocked.
Upon my arrival I rang the doorbell and was greeted by Mrs. Imani and the beautiful sound of silence!
I was invited into the kitchen where Meshki was sitting calmly wagging his tail. My jaw was already dropped at this point but it gets better!
Mrs. Imani seemed so proud and she then began to show me some of the respect that Meshki now had for her. She then asked Meshki to 'go to your house'.... and he did. gladly.
If My jaw could drop any lower it would have. This was all after about two and a half weeks of practice.
I do believe that the bond between Mrs. Imani and Meshki will only be stronger as she continues to show him the leadership that is necessary.
Way to go!!!
Client Comment / Review:
"We sought out the help of Bark Busters, and were so excited and relieved to have Nik come and help us with our dog Meshki, because we have been struggling with him from practically the time we got him as a puppy. Meshki is a purebred miniature American Eskimo with an incredibly sharp mind, but equally strong will...as well as a great deal of anxiety and nervous aggression. We have had issues with him being territorial, barking excessively, stealing food, escaping from the house/yard and not coming when called, pulling on the leash and even snapping at and biting us when we try to take something away from him. From the moment that Nik stepped into our home, he understood our issues and assured us that, with the right perspective and consistent training, we could have the calmer, more obedient dog that we always wanted. My mother, the primary owner of the dog, speaks broken English and has never had experience with dog training before. Her love for Meshki as her "baby", while very strong, was also part of the reason behind the problems. She had never been able to assert her dominance over Meshki. But with the guidance and encouragement of Nik, she was able to implement some basic drills which, after only TWO weeks of consistent practice, changed our Meshki into a completely different dog! He now no longer rushes the door when people knock, his barking has decreased by about 85%, he comes when he is called (even when he clearly doesn't want to) and he has all but stopped pulling on the leash. His food aggression and stealing has also eased dramatically.
Thank you to Nik for all of his guidance and support, for responding quickly to our emailed questions, and for giving us the tools that we needed to know how to address our dog's issues, speak in and understand his language, and create a much more peaceful home for everyone. And kudos to mom for her ability to step up to the plate (with some translation help!) and carry out all that was necessary to get the dog she wanted. In her own words, "I like my dog better now!"
