Moira Y.

Trainer(s): Monica Simpson
Spike

Dog Name:  Spike

Dog Age:  2 Yrs.

Dog Breed:  Yorkshire cross

Behaviour issues:

Fear aggression and pulling on lead.

Spike was a rescue with severe fear which could turn to aggression very quickly. He was extremely stressed and walks were horrible for both dog and owner.

Outcome Descriptions:

Once Moira took charge of all the ‘jobs’ Spike thought he had to do and became an excellent leader, Spike was able to trust that she could keep things safe and to look to her for direction in ‘scary’ situation rather than making bad decisions on his own.

Client Comment / Review:

Spike had been abandoned in an area outside of town and appeared to have been on his own for awhile. Needless to say, the little guy had some issues. He was terrified of everything. He would bark hysterically at most objects, people and animals; often times ending in a panic attack. After two months of doing all of the wrong things (consoling him, picking him up, and walking him at odd hours to avoid anything that might frighten him) I came across Bark Busters website and in walked Monica! Monica worked with us to control his reactions (and essentially my own) with the end result having a dog that enjoys going for walks with you.
It has been over two years and I'm happy to say that Spike actually plays with little dogs and I can walk him along major streets or on the beach with rarely an incident.
Bark Busters provided us with what we needed the most: a healthy, happy dog that enjoys being a dog inside and outside of the house.
Thank you Monica!
