Dog Name: Ralph
Dog Age: 5 Yrs.
Dog Breed: Maltese
Behaviour issues:
Barking and charging the front door and backyard fence, stranger aggression, separation anxiety, pulling on lead
Ralph was fearful and nervous towards visitors entering the house. He would bark and charge at the door and then display fear aggression towards the guest when walking away or coming towards him. This made family occasions an uncomfortable & stressful experience. Ralph also displayed moderate separation anxiety whenever separated from his owners. Walks were also not enjoyable as Ralph would pull ahead and growl at certain dogs.
Outcome Descriptions:
After our first session,Ralph’s owners were given a clear understanding of the reasons behind his issues and learned how to communicate to Ralph that he does not need to fulfil the stressful role of guarding his pack. There was immediate improvement in Ralph’s behaviour where he was relieved to give up this position. The owners are now able to have social events where family members are able to enter the house with no further issues of aggression. Ralph’s separation anxiety and walking has improved but work continues.
Client Comment / Review:
Our experience with Krystal has been very positive and we are extremely pleased with her! She is a very good trainer with great compassion to both Ralph our dog as well as his owners who wish to correct bad behavior by improving our communication with him. I look forward to future training sessions with Krystal. We have noticed vast improvements in Ralph's behavior in only a few short weeks and Krystal has given us valuable tools and the confidence that we are communicating properly with him. Thanks to both Bark Busters and Krystal. I have already mentioned to others the value of your training.
