Behaviour issues:
Jumping, pulling, nipping, stealing, barking
Owen was behaving aggressively to some of his own family members and was jumping on them, tugging their clothes and generally defying them. He would push them around by barking, growling and showing their teeth when corrected. Owen also stole things off of the counters and tables and would tear around the house uncontrollably. Owen also pulled on the leash and would often jump and nip when on a leash. Having him on a leash
was very challenging and as the clients do not have a fenced in yard, he needed to able to be calm and relaxed when on a leash. Owen’s owners contacted Bark Busters for help when they were faced with the decision to keep Owen or find him a new home.
Outcome Descriptions:
After Owen & his family start training, his behaviour turned around dramatically. He became more calm, relaxed and far less pushy with his owners. In fact, his behaviour was measured by our Pre-Test and Post-Test score (sent approximately three weeks after the first lesson) and his improvement was almost 200%! Owen’s family reportsthat they feel confident and comfortable with Owen and are able to enjoy him much more now that he’s not pushing them around!

We are so happy with the progress Owen has made over the last few months. He is definitely a new dog and we can’t say enough about Bark Busters. Without them we probably would have had to find him a new home. This is truly a success story!
