Separation Anxiety
Bella was a humane society rescue by Bruce and Victoria. Bella was not too challenging for Bruce and Victoria but suffered from a severe case of Separation Anxiety. Bella would hurt herself trying to get out of the crate when left alone, she was stressing so much.
Outcome Descriptions:
Bella now relaxes when Bruce and Victoria go as Bella now knows that it is not her responsibility to ‘worry’ about Bruce and Victoria when they are gone. Bella now relaxes when they are gone.

In July 2008 Bella, a gorgeous Golden Doddle and rescue dog, joined our family. We were told two things: high maintenance (grooming etc) and separation anxiety. Having dogs in our home for over thirty years, we thought no sweat -- WELL:. Bark Busters to the rescue in September
Two visits and several e-mails later, Tim Girouard advised us to give Bella a week of tough love in order for her to overcome her severe anxiety.
Seven days later Bella knew that her bed was a safe place and did not leave the safe place when she thought she was alone. Days eight and nine, Bella stayed alone for 30 mins and day 10 for 60 mins.
Our dog is now a dog that accepts its place in the family (pack) and with continuous reinforcement of Bark Busters Work Plan for pack leaders, we are confident that we will have one incredible dog.
