Anne

Trainer(s): Tara Dracup

Dog Name:  Deco

Dog Age:  3 Yrs.

Dog Breed:  Belgian Malinois

Behaviour issues:

Dog aggression, People Aggression

Deco was adopted from the Toronto Humane Society at the age of 3 by Anne.  Deco was mistreated by humans in the past and therefore had little trust for anyone but his newly adopted family.   He considered all human strangers to be a threat to his property, his home and to his human pack when out on a walk.  He growled, barked and sometimes bit strangers.  He acted aggressive to other dogs as well.  Anne tried different techniques to socialize Deco, but with little success.

Outcome Descriptions:

During the first three hour session, Deco stopped barking and running the front door.  He began to watch Anne and take instruction from her instead of worrying about my presence.  He learned to walk at Anne’s side with a slack leash and ignored strangers and other dogs.  Upon returning for a follow up session with Anne 2 weeks later, I was pleased to see that Anne was still in control of the front door and Deco did not growl or bark when I was in the house or out on a walk.

Client Comment / Review:

This was by far the best money I have spent on my dog! My dog went from an aggressive, dominant, out of control dog to a perfectly behaved, submissive dog! I took him to a cottage 2 weeks ago that had 2 other dogs and 6 kids in a confined space . . . my dog sat by my side the entire weekend and did not so much as bark. He came immediately when called and didn't so much as bat an eyelash at the other dogs or children (even when they were climbing on him). Since that weekend, both the other families have called and booked Bark Busters because they were in awe of my dog's behaviour!

Tara is an absolutely incredible trainer. Within 15 minutes she had taught me the tools I needed to control my dog. The best part is that the tools are easy so it is effortless to keep your dog under control. I simply cannot say enough good things about Tara and Bark Busters! Thank you so, so much . . . you saved my dog's life!-  June 2008
