I’m Tara Dracup. I first heard of Bark Busters through a co-worker who had Bark Busters help correct her dog’s bad behaviors.   The following day she was raving about how quickly her dog had improved.  With three dogs of my own, I was in desperate need of some help. They were quite a handful. I called right away to sign up for a lesson.

I was so amazed by the results and ease of Bark Busters’ unique approach, that I knew I had to be part of this organization. During my lesson, Tracy (my Bark Buster) explained how dogs communicate with one another and how they behave in packs.  It soon became clear to me why the many dog training methods I had tried in the past had failed.  In our first lesson, I quickly learned how to communicate with all 3 dogs and I got instant results.  Using Bark Busters techniques, I was even able to teach my 13-year-old dog how to walk without pulling on the lead and it only took 1 trip around the block!

Dogs have always been a part of my life; they bring me great joy and companionship.  For as long as I can remember, I have always wanted to work with dogs.  While growing up, I said I would be a veterinarian or an animal trainer one day.  Then, like many people, I ended up doing something completely different than I expected and became part of the corporate world. Nine years later, I found Bark Busters and now I’m finally doing what I really love to do!

I’ve been a trainer with Bark Busters for over 5 years now.  I’ve achieved Master Trainer status having trained more than 1000 dogs.

I am fortunate to have the opportunity to work for a company that not only strives to improve the lives of owners and their dogs, but one that is also dedicated to reducing the possibility of maltreatment, abandonment or euthanasia of companion dogs.

I’m committed to helping people communicate with their dogs.  The end result is truly a wonderful experience for both dog and owner.
