Hi.  My name is Sherri Barnes, Behaviour Therapist & Master Trainer for Calgary West.  I am also Joey’s pack leader.  It hasn’t always been that way however.   I know what it’s like to feel like your dog is out of control.  The jumping, the barking, the destruction and lack of respect for me and my family nearly resulted in her re-homing.  Luckily I called Bark Busters and in one day, my dog became my well behaved companion and I just knew I had to become a Bark Buster myself.   It honestly wasn’t Joey; it was us and our lack of proper communication that caused Joey’s behaviours.

That was about 600 dogs ago and now I am still enjoying the challenges and enjoyment in putting families back together with their canines.  In Home Dog training works fast because it is one on one, in the environment where you are experiencing the troubling behaviours that are resulting in increased stress of the dog and the family.   Age doesn’t matter when teaching a dog and an owner how to cohabitate together peacefully.  We will help any dog, any breed, any age, and any behaviour.

Training can focus on correcting the following behaviours:

  • Puppy obedience

  • Separation anxiety

  • Dog/people aggression

  • Barking

  • Jumping up

  • Counter surfing

  • Destructive behaviours (digging, drywall ingestion...)

  • Pulling on the leash

  • Sibling Rivalry

Regardless of the issue or issues, our lifetime guarantee provides unlimited home visits to help you get any issue old or new under control again so you can enjoy your companion dog for years to come.  The methods are pet friendly and you will be amazed at how easy it is to train your own dog when you take into consideration your body language and tone of voice.

I’d be happy to chat with you about your case.  Please call us at 1-866-418-4584 so I can get you started with a balanced happy pack.

Review: The session only finished at 7:45pm last night, but I have a different dog today. He clearly views me as the leader and has only 'tested' me a couple of times - he responded immediately to the "Bah" correction. He's quiet, calmer, doesn't need to follow me everywhere, not...

Review: We adopted Molly and Sophie as puppies. They are such darlings and would melt your heart regardless of the trouble they seemed to find. Molly had this way of trying to pretend that she couldn’t hear you when she knew she was up to no good or didn’t want to come when called – she...
