Hi,
My name is Robin Bourgeois and I’m the Bark Busters behaviour therapist for Montreal-east and Lanaudière.
Is there anything more fascinating than animal behaviour? I don’t think so. I studied to become a wildlife technician and I’ve worked on many exciting subjects: What are the interactions between a wolf pack and the coyote’s families in the same territory? What are the weekly and seasonal migrations of the black bear? What is the migrating pattern of the sturgeon according to the water temperature? Following my work experience, I thought I knew everything about animal behaviour. That was before I found Bark Busters.
Also, prior being part of Bark Busters, I had a very dominant female husky. She would hunt down any intruder that would approach our house, and when I say hunt down, she was really hunting. I tried everything to make her understand that I was the boss: treats, the clicker, pokes and shock collar. Unfortunately, one day she charged a little girl on a bike. I had no choice but to put her to sleep. If I had known Bark Busters by then, Gaïa would still be with us
Fortunately, times are changing and evolving. I now have two wonderful dogs that didn’t have an easy start in life. Abandoned by their first owners because of their behaviour problems, Roxy and Tom-Tom are thankful to Bark Busters everyday for helping them in their rehabilitation. My pack’s dynamic is healthy and balanced and everyone knows their role.
Bark Busters changed my family’s life; I hope it’s going to be the same for yours.
