Kim has made it like I have a brand new dog. I didn't even realise how hard things used to be. After three years of putting up with an unruly Napoleon, I find I have extra time in the evenings because I'm not cleaning up the mess Napoleon would make as he ran through a room. He used to pull clean laundry out of the basket, knock anything over that he could make tumble, break cds, and take garbage, socks, and slippers. His favourite was knocking over the laundry hamper ten times a night. I had started keeping the dirty clothes in the tub and had a whole other set of problems when I wanted to use that.

I can drop things and I don't have to dive to resuce them before Napoleon pounces. He is gentler to play with and calmer. He is a happier dog too. We can eat on the couch again and not have a dog in our plates. We can watch entire movies and never have to run to see what the dog is getting into. He's sitting in the same room. He plays with his toys instead of my wallet and my purse.

Napoleon looks out the window and doesn't jump or bark every time someone walks by. I'm not embarrassed when company comes anymore. He doesn't jump up, bark, and go wild.

Walking was a nightmare. I would avoid going for a walk as much as I could. Napoleon dragged me through the dirt or laid down and refused to move completely. I had to be on the look out for people and dogs so I could brace myself and be ready for Napoleon to rear up and bark. Now, he walks beside me. He doesn't go after joggers or other dogs. He keeps walking. I can control the walk and my shoulders don't hurt. We walk by construction zones now.

Napoleoon is the dog I always wanted thanks to Kim and Barkbusters.

The best I could do was get your email address. Speaking on behalf of the group, we all enjoyed it very much and learned a lot. We appreciate your willingness to give your time to the shelter. As you no doubt know, we are an independent shelter and are only able to keep the shelter going through the generosity of donors and the work of a few dedicated volunteers. Just wanted to follow up about our appointment last night. We all met (my husband, two daughters 15 and 11 and a friend that is often at the house) and we're all very pleased. Kim is great to deal with, she spoke to all of us about improving Sport's behavior. She included the girls in the entire process and explained about being accountable and consistent. We have our homework sheet in the middle of the fridge and the girls were practicing this morning. We even were doing training outside in the rain being careful of the ice..... Abbey was never a vicious dog or socially inept. She did however suffer from separation anxiety (at 7 months old I was her 3rd owner) and we both had behaviors that needed adjusting. Since Kim has been visiting the accidents inside have almost completely stopped; she's now looking to me to lead her; and the bah's... have worked to correct her jumping, running to the door, and grab's for attention. I have told my coworkers about Bark Busters and people I've met out walking with Abbey...pretty much anyone who will listen! I thank you, my roommates thank you but most of all Abbey is a much happier and well behaved puppy.

Ruby (1 year old Miniature Pinscher) was a very sweet puppy with some very bad habits. She is quite active and loves to bark and jump on just about anything she can. Ruby would absolutely destroy my house while I was at work, pulling books from my bookshelves, chewing on rugs, finding anything she could to destroy. I decided to called Kim and within hours of her coming to our home, Ruby’s behaviour improved significantly. The commands and techniques Kim taught us were very dog friendly and easy for Ruby to understand. I have hired other trainers to come into our home in the past and they have achieved absolutely nothing! I am confident that with consistency and continued support from Kim, Ruby’s behaviour will continue to improve! Thank you Kim!

We can't thank you enough for the transformation of our "devil dog" Molly into "angel girl". None of out family or friends can believe she is the same dog - they are convinced we traded her in for a new dog! In fact, we had taken our other two dogs to formal obedience classes elsewhere. They did really well in class but at home it was a different story. It was as if they forgot everything they (we) learned in class.

Your guidance and suggestions while observing Molly and ourselves in our home environment has been invaluable. She is now a joy to have around thanks to you Kim! The days of frustration and cleaning up the trails of destruction Molly would leave are a thing of the past!

I am happy to say that Romo responded virtually immediately to the training and 2 months later is still doing great!! We can invite company to our home and not race around to catch Romo and put him on a leash before we let them in the door. The counter surfing stopped and has not resurfaced since Kim's first visit and the stealing of items that are not his has disappeared. My family and I are amazed with how easy and effective the techniques are to use and with the results we have seen with Romo. I met Bark Busters in 1996 in Pymble Australia. With one lesson I was very impressed how Krystie responded, being only 3 months old at the time. In Dec. 2000 we moved to Atlanta GA and then to Bedford NS in May 2003. Since my Husband works in Georgia in the US, we went back and forth. Dec 2006 at my vet in NS I picked up a Bark Busters Canada business card and called. I couldn't believe it was the same Bark Busters as in Australia. Kim came to see us, no additional cost. Wow! Kim gave Krysti and I up to date info and new training aids as well. Kim was impressed with Krysti. At 10 years she thought Krysti was in such good shape and "very cute".
